We get a snow day today! Katie's school is canceled as well as classes for me. We decided it would be good to show everyone who is not in KY what a snow day looks like here. We were eager to show everyone a lame, laughable snow fall, however, for KY this is a fairly legit snow day. Today is the second snow day for Katie and I believe the seventh for me in just over one year.
Here are a few pictures showing what we woke up to this morning. The picture with the tape measure reads 4", not much by MN or MI standards. Truly, MN schools would not have even started late for this, but the locals are dumbfounded and have no idea what to do with the white fluffy...so they shovel/plow it into their neighbors driveway or the street expecting it to disappear. Who knows, we might have another show day tomorrow! The other two pictures are the view off our front porch.

congratulations on getting a day off for a 4" snow storm. The weather forecasters here were calling for a huge storm "a foot or more....". We did end up with about 7" so I shouldn't complain, but it is funny how the chicken little weather people always think that it is the storm of the century. It's winter...it snows....duh.
